Caught this yesterday. Scale decided to take a dump but she's a beast. I believe 10+ lbs. Released of course. New scale on order.

A lot of guys run Merc's premium plus and others only use Optimax oil. There is quite a bit of discussion on the web if you want to make a decision. If it makes you feel any better i'm sure the pricks that decide what we pay will have oil back to $80-$100 a barrel within 1-2 years. I doubt the oil companies are the reason 2-stroke oil is so high. Mercury knows your going to buy their oil at any price so they don't have any incentive to lower it....

If you have a dremel tool you can use one of the small brush type attachments and get inside the plug on the truck and clean them out. I would start with a test light and see if anything lights up when you have the left blinker on. If your Chevy is like my Toyota then you have one of those converter...

I was there a few days ago and it was pretty tough. Water level is low but still very fishable. The ramp is paved so launching is not a problem. Still waiting on this El Nino thing. If it does hit there could be a lot of debris in the water come Feb-Mar.

I would not pay anywhere near that for a tracker style bass boat. I'm guessing that boat wouldn't fish or ride much better then a 25 year old Tracker since they appear to have the same flat hull. I would spray the boat down with a hose every 15 minutes. After 3-4 of doing this the bugs should be soft enough to blow off with a strong hose or pressure washer.
I was planning on heading to CL in a week or so. How bad are the bugs out there? Do you need one of those mesh head nets?

Currently Beneficiaries of water projects are required to pay for such new projects. That is why nothing has been built in the last 40 years. Prop 1 will change that and require tax payers to pay for new projects.
The California sportfishing protection alliance is against Prop 1.
