The fish in Lexinton survived just fine. I've fished there a few times lately. There are fry from this years spawn and a crap load of 5-8" fish most likely from last years spawn when the water was very low. I don't think it had much of an effect on the bass at all. I hope they start some inspec...

Nice fish dude, same thing just happened to me last Saturday. I only caught one fish but that one fish made my day. Mine went 6.4, on topwater. I'll take one fish days if the one fish is going to be a 6+.

Ash pretty much nailed it, good post.

One thing I would add is to put a split ring on the frog if it doesn't already have one. It makes it walk much easier when fishing open water.

Use a baitcaster and I'm not saying that to be a jerk or anything but 17lbs flouro is too stiff for any normal size spinning reel. I stopped using any flouro over 8lbs on spinning reels. Too much twist and it will just shoot off the reel like a slinky.

Another time I broke one off on a DS and I was pissed becuase it was my last worm in that color. I re-tie and put on another worm and got slammed. I land the fish and he freaking spits out the worm I had just lost. I put it back on and caught a few more on it before really losing it. :D
