Those jigs are amazing! He's making colors to match with specific trailors and putting the color #'s right on the package to make it easy for us to get it right.
P.S. last time I checked he spends all his time making jigs...I'm startin' to worry 'bout him

Re: Changing out treble hooks on my DD22s
I personally use round bend replacement hooks on any lure I will be fishing deeper than 10'. I prefer EWG's, especially on traps and topwater. Much more weedless and one barb is all you need to keep 'em stuck. Deep divers with mono and a glass rod require too much pressure to consistently stick an E...

Re: Crankbait Rod Question??
John, I think another aspect the action or "bend" has for a crankbait rod is the way you impart action to the bait. A graphite rod, even if designed wih a moderate or parabolic "bend" will impart a sharper bait movement than a similar glass rod. Usually you buy a crankbait rod to...

Thanks KB...I will try to make it happen. I do remember the yellow rod, but it seems like that was impossible to get. I know there was a rod exactly like mine that was not telescopic. I thought they were introduced together. I think I purchased that rod in 1976-77?

#4 round bend gammies are correct. Beware of the weight of the split rings you choose. You can try the hyperwire or other brand of aftermarket rings, but you want the weight and hook hang distance to stay very close to the original, or you will change the built in suspend/action.

You can launch at either Glory Hole or Tutteltown ramp. It just depends on the direction you are comming from, as the ramps aren't really that far apart on the lake. If you are heading north on 49, Tutteltown is closest. East on 4, and it's Glory Hole. The main lake is full of island tops and points...

I have a couple of the Extreme series reels made for BPS by Pluegher. They are pretty decent for the price...no problems for two plus seasons of abuse/use. Not quite as nice as a Curado for distance casting, but perfect for flippin/pitchin. Good strong drag and fits my hand well.

Don, your price is more than fair. People looking for a boat probably have at least a good selection of gear/tackle.
