Tackle Warehouse Question

I will be traveling to SLO, then UCSB this weekend to move in my daughter at college. Her boyfriend is already at Cal-poly, but we are stopping by to say hello on our way to UCSB. Is TWH open on weekends? Is it far off the beaten path? Is it mail order only? Will my wife let me buy more Luckycraft b...

Re: Summer fade

Yeah, the problem with this time of year is you can't get it back! Even if it warms up to seasonal temps next week the cold nights are cooling the waters and the short days aren't enough to reverse it much.Oh well, bring on fall!

Hey Bones... I'm used to a frog bite well into October, but the jig bite is encouraging! The fall jig and crankbait patterns are what I live for! Thanx for the update!

Summer fade

With the recent cool weather anyone notice early fall patterns emerging? I see my tree's leaves starting to turn already and it's been downright cold in the evening latley. I'm used to this weather pattern in late October, not early September. I haven't been able to get out on the delta for the last...

Re: Froggers Need Your Help

All good advice above. Some thoughts... You said you were bank fishing. Many times when I used to miss fish froggin I had a poor angle of approach to the hookset. Barrack pointed out to me his technique, and since I started working on it my hookup ratio has been around 75% or better. It requires som...

How about an TM only event? It could be held at Russo's (plenty of fish nearby) and the "blastoff" would be something to see.

Thanks..

i'm leaning toward the LV-500 as suggested. I see it i supposed to run around 12ft deep...I'm not used to that kind of depth with a rattletrap. Should I get a LV 200 as well for the shallower stuff I usually fish?

I'm looking to purchase a Luckycraft rattlebait for the first time. I have several Pointers and Stacee's, but I have never tried their lipless baits. Try this...

Color the line solid black out about ten feet or so, then color a couple of short sections alternating black with a bright flourescent color. I find this helps to identify the path my bait will take as well as provide an easy to see mark when the light is low. I have not found any difference in stri...

You just may get it. I am personally torn between wanting to see our great sport thrive (esp. out west) and wanting the growth of our passion to slow down. Selfish, huh? Summer weather

Struggling a bit with the summer patterns out on the delta. In years past I would usually do well on buzzbait or pitchin a jig. Seemed like it was always an either/or kind of thing. This year the only quality fish I have caught have come crankin. Is it because we are about a month behind in the weat...

Stick with it...

I agree with most of the above advice. Rattletraps will come through weeds pretty well, but I personally prefer Speedtraps. The important element is rod position and lure speed. I find if I crank it down to the inside edge (or opposite edge) and stop as soon as I contact the weeds, then keep contact...

The other day is was goin' down a favorite stretch in the delta, flippin' and pitchin' along the grass pockets at low tide.
