Re: lake camanche
It is a serious inspection...Takes about 15 min. But not that bad as long as there aren't alot of boats ahead of you. Main thing is that your boat looks clean and livewells and bilge are dry.

Re: clear lake boat inspections?
Yeah why the hostility? I am just talking about my expierience. By the way I have fished many lakes that do have a very serious boat inspection inc. Camanche, Santa Margarita, and Cachuma. So, I was prepared for a real inspection. One of the great things about Clear Lake is all the free launch sites...

Re: clear lake boat inspections?
They are really relaxed about the hole thing...Too relaxed if you ask me. Go to the Takle shop right before the Red Bud launch (they open at 6:00 A.M.) pay your $10.00 and they will give you a sticker. I would steam the boat and make sure wells and bilge are dry just in case. I did clean my boat rea...

Re: Crazy Trailer Story
Mike, you made some valid points. Sometimes I feel like it is a charity. Maybe I read this post at the wrong time, having just forked out that kind of dough. I am all for free enterprise but making more off of the vehicle sitting there than the service provided has never set well with me. There are ...

Like I said sorry for the rant. I just paid 1200.00 of working capitol to a tow yard that I wont see for about 30 days and I doubt there will be 1200.00 in profit. I am sure none of your Tow Co. buddies live in the hills of Aptos. I am sure they never screw the tourist who park in the wrong spot by ...

I am sorry in advance for the rant. That is just BS...Everyone is required to have insurance...Insurance company or the Body shop they have representing them pay the advance fees 90% of the time when a vehicle is in a collision...The vehicle is then taken to salvage auction if it is deemed to be a t...

Re: Summertime Delta: Finding and patterning fish troubles

I started West of the Antioch Bridge and moved towards Stockton staying close to the River at first the...

DANNY PELUSO is the man to ask...His number is on the Anglers Choice web site. He competed in the event and is neck deep in all things Anglers Choice. He probably will know who it was or can find out. Although he will want to handle it privately I bet.

I have to agree...I live here but don't fish those lakes often anymore...Pine Flat holds the World Record Spotted bass..But it is very hit or miss...Millerton puts out nothin but 13 to 14 '' ers...One three pounder wins the tournament.Millerton and Pine Flat...Any lake by Fresno, they all suck.

Got my sticker there...They were open at 6:00 am...Took 2 min. and it is 1 min. from the ramp...He never left the counter but said "Nice Triton". Have to agree it is a joke. Comanchee was a pain in the butt, but at least those little suckers will have a hard time gettin' in.

Western Rally Good Times
Hey All, I was at Clear Lake by chance staying at Konocti Casino Fri and Sat night when I saw the Rally was going on. We bumped into some guys from the Fresno/Clovis area fishing the rally. Rusty Barons fished Bass Club with my partner. Anyway, looked like a blast! Good group of folks! I met Cooch a...
