I get to brag now......My personal best

I went to Lopez for our 2 day club tournament this weekend and just got back. The bad news is that I didn't win the tournament (came in 3rd), the good news is that I had over 16 lbs with only 2 fish! Saturday fish - 9lb. 15oz...big fish pot for our club Sunday fish - 6lb. 14 oz Here is the picture o...

Re: OPENS staying or going?

Personally, I would rather see it at Clear Lake or the Delta. Lake Mead can be fun, but I think the fishing is just getting worse and its not worth the fuel/cash to catch 8 lbs/day...hell, I can do better than that at Castaic or Pyramid and it costs lots less $$ :).

I have fished this up to 60 feet. I believe some guys may be going a little deeper at DVL, but can't imagine much more. As for the wind, I have never had a problem. The Cari Rattle floats and is very light weight. The shot in the cavity are not lead so they produce lots of noise in all conditions. T...

Guys....I fish these all the time...and catch fish. You can "think" what you like of course...but I know it works. I have used these at Clear Lake and Casitas and hammered them. Further, the 2nd big bass at this years WON BASS Pro/Am at Lake Mead (5lbs!) was on this very rig. Also, there i...

One thing to try is the Rock Hoppers along with a Cari Rattle. I have used this and they work great. Anglers Marine sells them.

Re: Best Crankin and Troll batteries

I have to say the very best batteries are the Dual Pro Lightening Series batteries. They are also the most expensive, but the most crankin capacity are the Dual Pros. The Group 31s have 1200 amps CCA!

I have been using them for over 2 years and they are operating flawlessly.

If you want a small charger, AC and/or DC, check out the Stealth Charger. They have been around a long time and used by many pros. Cannot use the 60 ohms. You will need 2. 2. All meters and antenna must be connected to the 90 degree t......

I would visit Anglers Marine and check out the Rogue Rods. If you like a 6'6" rod, get the MB 664C...if you like a 7', get the MB 704C

These are the best rods for under $200.

Just my own biased opinion. :).
