Even if it is not a front eye? I thought you have to re-wrap the rod to get the a middle eye re attached.DanO wrote:However, I would just take it over to Fisherman's Warehouse or the Gee Spot at Sac Pro Tackle and have a guide put on, probably cost about 20 bucks, tops.

The rod will be primarily used for Punker Jrs, Hard Gills, Wake Jrs, but also Triple Trout, MS Slammers, and 6" swimbaits. I'm torn between the 795 ML SB and 795 SB MT. Don't over look the Okuma 7'11H or 7'10H both of those rods would be perfect for the lures you are describing. The only diffe...

The lake association lowers the lake level every five years to help keep the grass in check. They did this this year as well as lowering the water even more to do some work on the dam. The grass will be back but it will not be as thick this year.

I love my 734 Powell for chatterbaits. Curado, 10 - 15 pound floro in lakes, 50 pound braid on the delta. I have also used a CR724C Loomis. which is a 6 foot heavy action rod, at the delta when making short roll casts in the tullies.

I used it for most of all last year and I love the stuff. I have been using mostly 10# and 15#, but have also tried the 20# and 8#. I have not noticed if it is thicker than the other floro I have used but then again I seldom pay attention to these things. For the price you can not go wrong.

I also only mainly use only 3:
Improved Clinch (mono
Berkeley Braid knot (7 turns for braid 4 turns for floro)
Tony Pena (joining two lines together)
The only other knot I use is a polomar when I tie on a drop shot hook.

I was like power as well but I have been using Tuff Line Braid recently, and I am loving it. It is softer then Power Pro right out of the box which makes it easier to work with and cast, it is also a whole lot cheaper than Power Pro.

For the mother load lakes you can't beat a MS Slammer, Wake Jr. and Lunker Punker. I would get a Slammer and Punker 1st, based primarily on price and the fact that they get bit. As for the color of the Wake Jr. go with the Kokanee or blue trout.
