Granite Bay is Easiest

Yes ... it is crowded ... but there are many lanes. If you are coming up from Tracy go 5 N to 80 East. Exit Douglas Blvd. in Roseville and go Right. It will dead end into the Lake. There was nobody on the water until after 12:30 today. Fishing as not good, but at least it was peaceful. Tomorrow will...

Follow Up Folsom Tournament Question

Do WON, Angler's Choice or 100% Bass ever hold Pro/Ams on Folsom? There were not any in 2005 and I was curious why not ... is it too small?

Folsom Lake Tournament's SWELL

Wow ... lets see if I have this right: - The Folsom Bass League is back with 6 tourneys on Folsom. - It Looks like ABA will do a Folsom only tour this year - 6 more tourneys. - Angler's Choice is usually good for 2 tournaments on Folsom. - I'm assuming WON will do another 6 or 7 this year. So withou...

Okay ... looks like you have nearly all of them ... but on Fox Sports after FLW on Sun. AM there was another one ... I think it was new, I had not seen in before. It was called Classic Presentation or Classic Presentations or something similar to that. This week was the first time I saw it and it wa...

C and C Marine's Hours???

Tried calling all morning. No answer, no answering machine or VM at the Citrus Heights location. Are they open on Mondays?

The web site makes no mention of hours. I tried on Sat. too and there was no answer ... I assume they are closed on Sat. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Smallie Guides in Chicago for Lake Michigan?

Looks like I'm going to be in Chicago in late Sept. Does anyone have a lead on a good guide for Smallies on Lake Michigan?

I'd be interested in hearing.

Thanks.

Sorry I Missed Ya Gator

I was out there in my midnight blue Nitro in the AM ... two fish was all I mustered but I was fishing near Dean B. ... saw him catch over 12 with a couple of pretty nice ones.

Blew me away ... I still have so far to go.

Thanks again for the help, Dean.

Pitt Makes Oroville Look Like The Cal. Delta!

Funny ... BASS wants to fish a major City outside of the South to "expand" exposure. How about the SF/Oakland Bay Area? They could have had 10 fish over that 6 lb. mark EASY. Bass-Ackwards logic if you ask me. Can you imagine a "San Francisco" Classic? (Yeah ... it would really b...

Well ... that post and a conversation with a friend who was out there today has convinced me. I'm gonna try again tomorrow ... someday I'm gonna catch a PIG on this pond and then you migh just hear me go IKE all the way in the Bay Area (no just kidding).

Guide Honesty - Can you REALLY express it?

I've never been out with Rich, but from his posts, I like him. He seems like a super straight shooter. As for less than stellar guide experiences, where does one post about negative guide experiences? I wonder. (I would not want to do so on this site and appear unprofessional, or entice the wrath of...

Aaron Martens 28.83 lbs.

West Coast tactics will be key in this "dead sea" of a fishery. Tough bites for all ... light line and drop-shottin' will do the trick.

Fill That Belly/Blatter

All good advice. I regularly Mt. Bike/fish in this heat. I have found that Bones's suggestion is key. Drink it before you want it. For example tomorrow I would drink about 1.5 liters of water between 4:30 AM and 7:30 AM. Then ... have more water and some sort of sports drink avail. on your boat for ...

'Gills

Well I was out on Thursday and I saw them in the Willows at 5% too. In fact I caught one while darter-heading for the bigger boyz.

So ... you may want to try there before the lice turns the main Lake into a bath tub with Rosie O'Donnell doin' situps in it.

Okay ... so 1st and foremost, thank you all for your advice and emails. Thanks to you, especially Dean B., for the offer yesterday AM ... had I heard my cell phone ... Folsom Advice - Please Help Me Retain My Marginal Sanity!

Is Folsom Lake really that different from Camp Far West, Berryessa, Oroville, or Shasta? Man ... I would have to say so ... or am I just doing something wrong? (Pretty sure that is it) :( I have had, what I would say are "Excellent" days on all of those other lakes, but NEVER on Folsom. An...

I'm Far From a Folsom Expert

But I have had some very good days there. It is the most hot and cold lake I fish. Seems like I can always find fish on the other clear canyon lakes ... but some days on Folsom will just FRUSTRATE!!! All I can say is that 6 pound test green line is the largest I'll fish there. Turn off your boat and...

Pro's Soft Bait Glue, Where Buy in Sacto?

Neither Fisherman's Warehouse nor Sacto Pro Tackle carry it. However, I think the Warehouse is going to start carrying it soon.

In any event ... any ideas on where I can find it in Sacramento?

Thanks.

You know, I can almost ( I said ALMOST T ) handle the junior college/Sac State punk, borrowing Dad's boat, oblivious to the world, operating under the assumption that the whole lake (err, entire area code) wants to hear the likes of MudVane or Eminem at full volume crowd better than the wine-drinkin...

$50 To 1st Pro To Add Me To Card For Clear Lake This Weekend

I'm still on the waiting list, have my hotel, already paid in full, and family will be out of town, i.e., I really want to fish the Angler's Choice Pro-Am on Clear Lake this Saturday and Sunday. I'll provide $50 Cash to the first pro who adds me to their entry. This could be a nice gas expense offse...

Gas/Expense $ Avail for Backseat Opportunity @ ClearLake Fri

I will be fishing as an AM over the weekend and don't want to drag my boat up. I'd gladly pay $40 to $60 for the opportunity to fish with a boater on Friday.

Need PRO for Clear Lake this Weekend (Angler's Choice)

I just got off the phone with Mark, I'm 11th on the waiting list of AMs and it looks promising, but I'd love the guaranteed status. Please let me know if you want to sign up with me, I'm paid in full.

Thanks,
Craig
