Have you checked out the bottle jack that came with the Sprinter to see if it would work for the trailer? It is not a normal emergency jack, at least its not on my 06. Make sure your trailer's bearings are well lubed,check the tires and go for it.

I use my 734 for jigs up to 1/2 of an oz. Pick up a 735, you will love it for heavier jigs and it makes an awesome open water frog rod as well

Seal Skinz socks are the bomb. I now have two pair, uninsulated for fall and spring insulated for winter. I ware them with my Crocs, feet stay warm and dry all day long, and my feet don't hurt. I have fished in NASTY weather this way and have never had cold feet.

I am going to keep suggesting this rod until I find something better for Punkers. I throw mine (both 6" and 9" and both wood and injected) on an Okuma 7'10 H. The 7'10 does not have the same split grip as the other Okuma swim bait rods, it is shorter and it is perfect for throwing Punkers....

The most productive Buzzbait I have ever thrown is a Strike King Buzz Jr., It is a 1/4 oz bait. I still use it all the time but not it can be a pain in the butt to throw when the wind is blowing

I believe that is Antioch marina, it is private and I doubt you could launch there. As for fishing that area in your tube, I wouldn't. That is a high traffic area ans is not sheltered from the wind. It can get very hairy there in a hurry.

Just for clarification, I own 3 Okuma swimbait rods a 7'6 XH a 7'10 H and a 7'11 MH. I use the 7'11 MH for 7 inch Slammers and Wake Jr.s I use the 7'10 H for 9 inch slammers and Lunker Punkers as it has a shorter handle then the other Okuma rods. The 7'6 XH is my Hudd rod and I do not throw any hard...

This may sound counter intuitive but use a lighter/smaller hook. I have been using the Rage Tail shads since last summer and I have found that a 3/0 EWG Gami works the best.
