Re: Shimano rods
My friend took his broken shimano rod with a "lifetime warranty" to fishemens warehouse in SAC which is supposedly the shimano headquarters for the area and they were not able to help him. He went in with a broken rod, and left with a broken rod. Not how it used to be. Pretty disapointing.

Re: Mike Long admits deceit behind bass record?
How does his using a picture to claim a lake record have anything to do with tournament fishing? Well jg, to me it shows his lack of character, and the simple fact that he is not afraid to LIE to better himself. You think someone who lies about a lake record is willing to cheat to win a tournament?...

Makes me wonder why his fishing buddy just NOW decided that this was wrong? That magazine picture was from 2002? A little late for either one of them to take the high road if you ask me. I'm sure there is a lot more to it then meets the eye. Sad to see VERY successful anglers true colors show though...

His credibility has gone way down for me. He didn't openly/willingly admit to it(like a man). He was called out on it caught red handed and had no choice but to fess up and deal with the consequence of being caught. This is NOT the kid who stole the candy bar and felt guilty and returned it. I used to have a Cabelas brand boat cover that worked well for leaving it out overnight from time to time when fishing multiple days. Never left outside permanently, but it seemed to be good quality. The custom covers are made to trailer with and you will pay extra for that. Cabelas has pretty a pre...

Re: Folsom Lake Fees
looks like the annual vehicle pass is $150, and another $100 for the boat sticker to go on the pass. Thanks for the info. Yes I was aware of the pass being valid at other lakes/the delta. $22 just makes it hard to justify going out for a few hours, and thats all the time I seem to have these days.

They have a vehicle fee, and a boat fee. My first few times I went I paid throughout the machine or drop box and had only paid the boat fee......didn't realize you had to pay both fees. Maybe thats how you got in for 15...in any case, its a rip off.

Nope! Hope you caught some fish!
The season pass is the only way to make it worth it to me(also very expensive), but with the major lack of water this year I'm afraid to buy one an have it be a 5mph speed limit all summer/fall.

I'm a big believer in lure retrievers. I use two different ones. I use the basspro shops bass with the chains and the houndog. The hounddog outta the package gets a C grade. If you already have 27's give them a shot and see how they perform. Might depend on the quality of the battery and how much life is left in them. Bigger(heavier) is better when it comes to batteries. Would have to be a senko for me.
Lots of ways to fish em to cover any depth and type of cover.
Like em or not senkos catch big bass year round. Its by far not my favorite thing to fish as I would rather have a frog or swim bait bite going, but senkos get bit.
