Re: How does the MLF changes affect California Bass fisherman?

So MLF supplies the boats and there is no prefishing. An angler hops on an airplane, lands in California, fishes MLF and then goes home. Sounds like that could really be good for western fishing. Someone just needs to show MLF the Delta and Clear lake, or since they are driven to the lake without kn...

Summer night fishing is my favorite time to fish. Get to the lake around 5-6 and fish til 1-2am and call it good. Cool, quite and usually some good fish. I usually fish top water til dark then a jig or a big worm after dark.

To me it doesn't matter what the tides is as I don't know the delta good enough to say "I need to be here at this tide."
I just fish an area that I know and adjust to whatever the tide is.

Re: Don Pedro places to stay

Hwy 132 is closed between Coulterville and Fleming Launch. You will have to take Hwy 49 north but this will put you at Mocassin Ramp on the upper end of the lake. Winding slow road but doable.
If you are set on fishing the lower end of the lake around Fleming your looking at about 45 to an hour.

Invasive species there is now bag limit or season; until the state figures out how many people are shooting them then you'll need tags, a license and probably a special training class online to be able to identify them from muskrats, beavers otters etc. All for a fee of course.

this article says they only found 2 by trawling. Is it possible that a 3" fish, might, just maybe be hiding in the expansive areas of shoreline grass that a trawl net can't get into? Maybe under the hyacinth patches? If I was pushing the agenda I guess I could skew the data to fit my narrative.
