Re: FLW needs co-anglers for stren & national guard seri
I'm signed up as a co-angler and I'm looking for someone to prefish with on Tuesday. I also have a room reserved at Fawndale with a spare bed if anyone is looking for a place to stay. Split the cost on the room, etc.

Re: Color vs gray scale fish finders
Color Definately!
I have the LMS-332C and it's a great unit. Be sure to get a map chip. If you don't need GPS look at one of the other units. The color units are continually getting less expensive and worth the extra cost.

Re: Looking for rods any advice
I have 3 of those exact rods and I love them. They are light weight and sensitive. I bought them when they were originally only $50. For the sale price of $60, you can't beat it. I

The Redwood Empire Bass Club launched out of Capel that day. I believe the boat you mentioned belongs to Mike M. He has only had the boat for about a month. You can track him down at www.nitrosmike.com.

Re: Lowrance temperature gauge???
Had the same problem with my LMS-332C when I first bought it. Turns out the transducer was faulty. Since it was under warranty, Lowrance sent me a new transducer.

Re: Lowrance Question???
It's a great unit for the price and it takes the standard map card. I only have the Fish N Maps card and it doesn't cover the delta or Orovile. I hear that it you spend the extra and buy the MMC reader/writer you can edit your maps on you PC. There may also be a card specifically for the delta, but ...

Re: Where to stay at Shasta
I like staying at Fawndale Resort. It's only a couple of miles down the highway from the lake. Tell tem your fishing a tournament and you can get a discount. About $70/night for a decent cabin.

Battery chargers
Many of the portable chargers have an automatic shut-off to prevent overcharging. You'll have to check you particular model. I use one myself and charge my batteries at 2 amps after each trip when not in a hurry. For a quick charge use the 10 amp. This also helps "cook" the battery to prev...

Fishing Hot Spots Map & Lake Or0ville
I recently bought a Lowrance LMS-332c with a Fishing Hot Spots map chip. It worked great at Berryessa, Shasta, Clear Lake and Sonoma, but no map details for Lake Oroville. Has anyone else had this problem.
