Re: Major League Fishing Championship final 4
Understand your point, TinCan, but for a kick-off event, shown to an audience who may not be dyed in wool bass guys, having quality fish is almost a necessity. They go to the Ohio River and the pros end up holding sardines, instead. I'm sure MLF will be moving things around... For sure, Nobody want...

Re: Major League Fishing Championship final 4
My only complaint (a very small one) about the show is I wish they would have fished a different lake. Amastad is well known, most of them if not all of them have fished it before. I think it would be nice if they went to some little known lake that most if not all had never fished before.

Plus they were foul hooking em left and right on the jerkbaits. I don't remember any foul hooked on the A-rig.

Guys caught fish on it, but if it was as easy some people make it out to be, it would have done a lot better. It definitely wasn't an A-rig show. Single baits put a whooping on the rig.mike at robo wrote:How did the a-rig work out ???

Re: Line size poll mono or braid swimbaits
Good to hear, I don't want to lose any more. They are not cheap.
Also I realized I posted the a-rig stuff in the swimbait poll. Sorry. For most swimbaits, I'm using mono, usually 25lbs big game. For 8" hudds or similar size baits.

Re: Line size poll mono or braid swimbaits
Since I broke an a-rig off using 20lbs mono already I won't be doing that again. I just spooled up 65lbs power pro so we'll see how that goes. Can't be losing 40-50 bucks worth of gear every time I get hung up. Hopefully the 65lbs braid is enough to straighten the hooks if I hang it up again. Which ...

Santa Clara county doesn't care if you had to drive through fog to get there, if there is ANY water in or on the boat or trailer, you fail. They don't want to hear about driving through a puddle, or fog or rain or whatever. It's dry or fail.

I looked at the rules and there is no declare rule listed anywhere in the SP official rules. Also, it seems they use big fish as the first tie breaker. So what would they have done in the case of a tie? Seems to me if it is used as a tie breaker every team would be required to weigh their biggest fi...

An aluminum boat is going to be a pain to load and unload by yourself. What about one of those plastic bass hunter boats? Pacu are the hippie cousins of the Piranha. They look almost exactly like a piranha but have almost human like teeth and are vegetarians. There were two of them caught in Don Pedro last year.
