Anybody know where I can get just the foot pedal for a Minn Kota power drive? Cabelas doesnt sell them anymore nor do local shops where I live.
Im asking to get stranded at the wind blown side of the lake if I dont fix this problem soon

Hey Bryant
You may want to go to calfishing.com and review the Trophy message board. The guys on that forum are, IMHO, the experts on throwing big baits and they break rod selection down to every detail. Also check out the Reviews section. Be careful when you select your swimbait rod, you have to factor in man...

I was just thinking about buying a Minn Kota with the US last night. My question is will you get interfernce on your sonar screen every time you step on the trolling motors foot pedal?

There ya have it WC
I beat myself up for two years looking for the perfect cranking rod. I guess I passed over the BPS Crankin Stick due to the cheap price. But, my buddy RC Stevens from Clear lake Oaks set me straight one day. I havent looked back since, Ive found the perfect rod. And they are so cheap, that I have tw...

Make it simple
No need to talk about action of tip, or any other detail. Buy the BPS Crankin Stick, you wont be disappointed. Ive tried all of them except the high end rods, and Ive settled on the BPS Crankin Stick. The price is cheap, but you cant go wrong. Plus, its an excellent spinerbait rod.

When I moved from Humboldt Co. to Sacramento Co., I got a tax bill from Humboldt Co. saying I owed them a tax on my boat for a period of time AFTER I moved from Humboldt Co. I called them and they couldnt, in laymens terms, explain why I should pay a tax on a boat for a time period that the boat was...

Sorry bout that, heres the article
didnt realize people would need to register to view the article. Here it is: The state has reeled in more than $2.5 million over the past year and a half from the $5 stamps anglers must buy to fish in the Delta and Sacramento Valley rivers - a pot of money that's supposed to boost sport fishing. But...

Does this story surprise anybody?
Like I said, the Bay-Delta stamp was nothing more than a way to offset the loss of revenue from discontinueing the striper stamp. Ive always doubted that the funds would actually be spent for what it was meant to be spent for. At the very end of the article they elude to the problem, i.e., internal ...

Its the weight and fall rate
Ive found that in certain instances copy cat baits dont have the weight needed to get through the cover Im fishing. They just arent heavy enough. Instead of drifting enticingly down through flooded bushes/trees and thick weed clumps, the copy cats get hung up since they lack that needed weight. Just...

Yeah, I was checking that out last night. There is no way that fish is 18 pounds plus, unless the guy in the photo weighs 500 pounds. That fish looks maybe 10 or 11. But, photos can be deceiving. Still, no way, not close to 18.

I lived in Raleigh for many years, and the area reservoirs are not that far from you. There is excellent bass fishing in the area. The three lakes you would want to fish are: 1) Falls of the Neuse, commonly referred to as Falls Lake (but be careful, another lake in NC is called Falls) 2) Jordan Lake...

Simple....
....big, loud, and obnoxious. A great big, single colorado huge bladded, short arm spinnerbait is as fun as it gets. That nice slow thump of that blade turning then getting interupted by a huge fish trying to dislocate your wrists is one of the finer moments in bass fishing.

My recent p-line experience
I was using the cxx. I had been watching a spot holding some large fish. After the sun set I eased in there with some 20 lb cxx and a giant worm. First cast, BAM, set the hook and the line breaks. Hmmm, Im not happy. The cxx is very strong but it is also very slippery. This causes some weird stretch...

agreed
Crawling crank baits through deep timber is awesome, once you figure out how to do it. You have to use a floater, and you can almost always tell when you are coming into a piece of wood because you first feel your line rubbing on it. When I feel that, I stop reeling and drag my crankbait slowly into...

Glad you wont have to go through the hassle of finding a new boat. You should have tried to get a free passenger console while you were at it

I want to fish the American River at night. However, the only ramps I know of are within city parks which means you have to be out of them at night. PS: Barry
Its true, things continually evolve and change. Things go extinct through time. However, the rate at which species are going extinct has increased 1,000 fold in the last 100 years. This is what bother those in the know.
IMHO, you likely dont get this idea.
Tight lines!

Delta 1124, I feel for ya. First off, I havent seen any data supporting a collapse in the PELAGIC species in the delta, but wouldnt be surpised if its true. But what I have seen are lots of data concerning the amounts of pollutants in the water that feeds the Delta. Its staggering, and I for one don...
