Not a biologist, but if the die off was correlated to a need to thin out the population to improve the quality I would expect to catch skinny, big headed bass. Another option could be one of the cabins or trailers at Collins Lake. They aren't cheap, but all you would bring is food and sleeping bags/linens. Everything else is included.

Might be more fun than staying at a motel and you could fish a little at the end of the day if you like.

Looking for recommendations to a boat trailer repair facility near Newark/Fremont. One of the L brackets that support a bunk sheared/broke just above the weld on the trailer.

Ideally the shop could do the work without me having to drop the boat in a lake.
