Saw the show again, I thought Clear Lake, wasn't sure at first but now positive. They launched from Redbud. Funny, yep Brent has never been on that lake... Lol. Also, look at how he has the other two hooks "clipped" on the A-rig, they are cut a little past the barb.

Just watched an episode of Lost Lake on WFN. It had Brent Ehrler on a western lake in winter. Not sure if this was an old show or not, but I was curious if anyone had seen it? Wondering what lake it is? There were lots of boat docks and it kind of looked like Clear Lake, but was not sure?

Inspection is pretty basic, she will ask you the last lake you were on, walk around the boat and that's about it. Just be clean and dry, simple. I was out there Saturday too, fishing was "insane", but then it has been for a few weeks. Going out again tomorrow.

I have the marine Everstarts as my trolling batteries. They are not the sealed kind. They have lasted well after a few different trips and I was running them hard on windy days throwing reaction all day.
Gotta say, it's nice to see a good, informative thread for a change on this website.

The lake has been getting hit pretty good for the last 3-4 weeks. This weekend there are three tournaments going on Saturday and WRL on Sunday. So it will be busy there again.

Tell ya the truth, I dout it VERY much they would deny anyone, even if it is pouring Saturday morning.

The inspections aren't bad at all. Fishing has been hit an miss, some guys are on them good ( took 14 lbs to win last weekend). Others were saying it was tough. Hopefully the storm coming in this weekend turns things on good. don't worry about the inspections.

I have used Cabelas signature gear for a few years now and it has been great in some serious down pours. But one thing you should add with any kind of rain gear is tennis wrist bands, they will keep the water from coming up the arm.

I agree with CN. Was there for a two day local club tournament this past weekend. Inspection took about a minute. Fishing was insane to say the least, talking 50 fish days right now. Took 23 lbs to win , and I believe 3 of the top 5 are fishing the WON TOC.

Can say this, lake record just fell again ( spot went just under 7 lbs). Compared to the last time the Western Classic was at Naci, I would say it is way better. Fish are much more healthier. The average size is up this year too.
