Also think about an inverter I have found it easier some times to hook my inverter to the pickup and run the engine. Lot less noise than most generators and less hassle than running 12volt wires.
Look at solar battery chargers, I know some of the boats docked full-time at our lake have solar on them

15lb Big game for all cranks and top water not in pads or grass. 15 or 20lb braid if I am expecting the fish to get into grass or pads. I have the same bait tied on 2 rods most of the time. One with braid and one with either mono or floro. I still think there are times where the floro out fishes braid

What rod, reel and line combo are you using. maybe the size and style of weight.
You appear to be using a rod that has some give in it. Just interested in action , as I get older I use a hookset more like yours and less like I'm ripping there lips off
