In the future, my recommendation is to take many pictures, contact DFG along with any suspected tournament orgs and leave the device in place and in tact. That way DFG can monitor it and hopefully catch anyone involved in foul play. No excuses for cheaters - but the best recourse is to catch them in...

When i fish Comanche or Pardee, i would put a towel in my bilge and livewells. I would stop before the turn off to check the bilge blow it out with compressed air and be sure she is clean and dry. yes they can be that bad, even in the rain they are going to check for any standing water.

You can’t go wrong at either lake in the spring - Berry is just beautiful and has all three species of Bass. Clear Lake is a bass factory and can bring some giants and footballs alike. Shoot me an IM when you get set on a date and we can chat.

i dont think it's feasible to fish on a pontoon boat without anchoring at either of these fisheries. With the wind and the tide that boat will be like a big sail being pushed around. I'm not saying you couldn't do it in certain spots at certain times, but mainly tucked in a cove on an anchor.

If you are fishing a tournament and it's marked do not enter - that would be an issue (not that you mentioned tournaments) but to all-tournament anglers, I recommend always asking your TD prior to the event. I got to check out that new Berkley Stunna Jerkbait looks killer and I appreciate a slight slow falling jerk. I agree with Evan across the board - Jerkbait, Jig with a MaxScent Power Chunk, swim bait and drop shot with a Max Scent Hit Worm or Flat Tail shad is my 'Go To' line up winter - early spring.
