The most danger to stream flows in the Delta comes from the canal in the picture along with proposed tunnel system not climate change as reported .

the original old rubber 70's -80's was lubed with talcum powder (from what I remember) for cutting the slits for the strands . The later version 90's was impregnated with silicone as a lubricant for cutting the strand slits . The silicone impregnated rubber seems to last a lot longer without the rot...

Funny I've never seen a gut hooked bass bleed like that it is always a wound to the gill structure . RIP Smallmouth bass . You might have made it if not kept out of the water so long. ( fish only have a very small amount of blood in their body and bleed out quickly from a gill injury especially if kept out of the water . Turns out water actually helps to close the wound and stop the bleeding .)

I can't say about all of these other supposedly above average high lake levels listed but I do know that McClure and Camanche are being held at their normal winter pool elevations . Could also be a connection issue with the wiring to blame . A bad connection will have a voltage drop occurring across it . I saw that the CTT (California Tournament Trail) are taking next year off from pro-ams and expanding their team circuit to include Central and Mother Lode regions . A lot of people posting videos show the fish they just caught on a digital scale showing the weight this way there is no disputing the fish's weight . I would try that .

I have the same motor same year and went all though the ignition and fuel systems to find the problem and fixed it myself . A motor this old will develop problems especially with fuel lines and the primer bulb due to ethanol in the fuel these days . Send me a PM and I can give you some tips

Kentuck , Those vent holes in a prop are there to allow a higher pitched prop to cavitate (slip) to get you up on plane during a hole shot . Seems to me the Merc High 5 was a performance prop and probably not a good match for a 4 stroke outboard even if it fits . You should contact Yamaha and ask about this to be sure .
