Re: Input on upgrading boats
I currently have a 99 PT185 with a 90hp merc. and the boat has been great for me. I was actually in the market for a fiberglass boat, but this one came up and thought I got a great deal mainly because of the motor. It had low hours and everything else I saw similar had between a 40-60hp for about th...

Re: Boycott Clear Lake
Leon I hear you, I think that a misdemeanor is a little much, but as mentioned in many of the other posts there are a lot of free boat launches around the Clear Lake area. I'd rather pay $10 a month and fish as many times as I want in the month and to go to Oroville, Berryessa, Folsom, etc. and pay ...

Re: Shady Stuff!!!!
I think it's a great idea that you posted the pics!!!!! These guys did this for a reason, I hope I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was tourney related. Guys will do almost anything to win. I fish tournaments, and love doing so, and would love to catch someone doing something like this. I fished a tw...

Re: Dig In Anchor System
From what I can see you just push it into place and it "Digs In" to the sand, mud, etc. Looks like there are some great reviews on it, just don't know how it would hold up in rocks and the current of the Delta.

Re: Dig In Anchor System
Thanks for the feedback. I also have an 18' aluminum boat and was considering a bow mount system and a 10' pole. Don't fish too much shallow water, but think that it could definitely help with some bed fishing. I like that it can easily be stored and out of the way and just like thats its an inexpen...

Dig In Anchor System
Anyone have one of these, either bow or stern mount? How do you like it?
Looks like a great cost effective option to a power pole or talon and no electrical and wiring to run.

Re: low oil sensor beep with lots of oil
+1 on the sensor float........started as a low oil beep and got to a point to where it would just stay on.
Fairly inexpensive and quick fix and better safe than sorry.

Check out Holiday Harbor......it's right off of I-5 and is only about a 5 minute run up the McCloud arm.

Re: Trolling Motor Battery and voltage help
I know in my experience, just one night on the charger may not be enough if I have killed the batteries completely the day before. The manual for my charger says that you can leave it charging for up to 3-4 days because of the "trickle" effect it uses once the batteries reach a near full c...

Re: Replacement windshield
Well, I guess we could turn this into testimonials for Black Dog and maybe they will send me a windshield........or some other goodies :D Hard to believe you can smack a windshield hard enough with a Punker to break it, but yet you see pieces of your windshield sinking to the bottom of the Delta and...

Replacement windshield
Does anyone know of a company out there where it is relatively easy to get on at? I'm looking for one for a Tracker PT185, seems like they would be fairly common but it looks like a couple companies want you to send them your old one and wait to make you one????? Maybe I'm being lame and impatient, ...

Re: Survey of Bass Boat Insurance?
I just switched to Fish On Insurance through Westmar Marine. Made the switch, very competitive price wise and I thought they provided more coverage in return. Plus, I thought it was nice dealing with a fairly local company being in Stockton. Made me feel even more comfortable since I signed up a few...
Re: b.t.d. ?
I buy a good portion of my tackle from BTD and their customer service has always been great. Can't say anything bad about the others becuase I haven't given them a shot yet because BTD always comes through. My hats off to Mark and his staff.
