Re: Hotfoot Install?
I've got one in my boat and really enjoy it. Glad I had it when I got tossed out and was not using the kill switch. Personally I would do the install my self. When I got mine it was way to close to the seat and I moved it forward. I would think you would need to disconnect the old throttle cable. Th...

Re: swinmbait rod and reel
I do really enjoy my 301 Curado's and would recommend matching the rod to the weight of the bait. For the extra heavy stuff Powell makes a rod for 8-16 oz baits but the handle is a little short, I extended mine. The loomis BBR series rods are good for swimbaits too. For big Hudds the Dobyn's 806 and...

I can't seem to figure out why when I tie this knot (and I tie it the same way every time, line goes through the hook eye with the hook facing me, I have also done it with the hook facing away) that the hook ends up upside down. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I know that when it does I...

I learned that the hard way myself a couple months ago. I was making a wide left hand turn with a friend in the boat and there was a little chop on the water. It is not that it becomes necessary but rather are you wiling to pass on smaller fish to target bigger fish. You will get a lot less bites but should catch more quality fish.
