I would pass on the Cardiff it will eventually break. Get a Calcutta 400 or Curado 300. The Cardiff just aint heavy duty enough and will eventually fail. Watch eBay if you want a good deal on a 400.

I talked to the rangers today and they said as far as water coming in to the lake it will come from the surrounding watershed as it always has. Google johnscrankbait, He will make what you want painted how you want. I have been using John's swimbaits for years and they work great. They have great durability and action and are not a bait that everyone is throwing so the fish are not conditioned to them.

You know I have Dobyn's, Loomis, Kistler and Powell and all have there time and place. There are a lot of good rods for larger baits just depends how big a bait you want to throw and how you intend to retrieve it.

And that trout plant, basically a "tourist trout" plant (most too big for bass food), only cost $60,000. Add that to the new $100,000+ barbed wire fence in the Wadleigh Arm and you know where your money is going. Oh, and the general consensus amongst the people involved is, the lake will ...

I think it depends on what you are trying to appeal to the sense of sight or the lateral line. Most of my bites have come on a varied retrieve such as multiple twitches and then a burn. They seem to love to hit it when they think it is gonna get away if they dont hit it quick in open water. If I am ...

A lot of the swimbait fish I have caught that were not on top were either real deep or on structure on structure.
