Let me guess. PETA will say the device will cause
mass starvation when bass no longer respond to the sounds of feeding, due to constant exposure to the Biosonix. Frankly, if the device does actually simulate the sound bass make when they feed on shad, I don't see how they can get so used to the sound that it doesn't work. They're so competitive, an...

If you're going to nap, be sure you're soaking an Ika, and have the line wrapped once around your index finger of your left hand. If the bite does pick up while you sleeping, that's a hell of an alarm clock.

If this thing has a 400 yard range, it will help anyone who
is in the same cove on most of our lakes. I think all clubs should buy one for each cove that's on the lake they're fishing. Seriously, I think the one setup tournament would be really interesting. It would sure show who is the best with that setup. Maybe a four day event, with a different rig...

Should it be banned?
I guess I'd have to say no. Sonar probably does more in terms of finding fish, and it's legal. Scents and attractants probably work, and they're legal. I think, as long as everyone has the same option to use it or not, it should be legal. Like someone before me said, when the fish get used to it, it...

For some reason, throwing a baitcaster all day is
easier on my shoulders and upper back. Maybe that's because I use spinning gear mostly for drop shot and worming, which are both really slow presentations. Maybe it's because I'm getting old(er).

Please post your results with the electronic caller. But be careful. If it works, who needs sonar? Or maybe it just turns on the fish in the immediate area. Let us know. What are they going to do if Perris is too low to launch? My club is planning a two day there next May. From what I've heard and read about similar dam problems at Lopez, they may take several years to complete the repairs.

Stickups
I drag a Senko weedless through flooded brush and stickups on points in the summer. I cast beyond the cover and let it fall. If I don't get bit on the fall, or after it's set there for a minute, I pop it up, and let it fall again. I do this until I'm actually into the brush or stickups. Then I shake...

No disrespect to custom rod builders, but you can catch fish on store brand rods from Cabelas and Bass Pro. A rattle trap in the 1/4 to 3/4oz. throws great on a 7' med. action rod. Bass Pro Extreme rods ($79-$99) have a great grip called a power hump, which I think Diawa started. Once you get use to...

Re: Hello everybody! (moving to southern California)
The Castaic Bass Club is probably pretty typical. We meet the second Thursday of each month, with a club tournament the following Sunday. It's a shared weight, random draw tournament, with boater and non-boater sharing the weights and points toward an angler of the year title. We fish local lakes, a...
