Clear Lake right now is good right now if you know what your doing ! I would definitely book a guide for your 1st day fishing ! he will save you a lot of frustration trying to figure out the bite !

IROD Air 7.7 or 7.10 Bubs punch rod ! best flipping/punching rod made ! as far as a reel ‘ it’s Personal preference as far as reels go ! , you would just need to find one that’s comfortable match for the rod ! 8.5 gear ratio would definitely be a must have !

it used to be catch , photograph and release ! now it’s catch , pack around in livewell for 14 hours,hold up 5 fish ( after dropping a few on carpet) , photograph and release ! that practice helps to destroy a fishery !

Minersville won’t run out of water. The ramp runs to great depths. The real problem may be parking as campers/houseboaters keep their vehicles at the ramps for days at a time while camping/boating.
