Good morning. Hope you can all make it. Bullards Bar has had a reputation for big spots and they seem to like to chew in the winter time. The chance of a 5lb spot in more then one boat is pretty darn good.

I believe they are both launching at the same place. Most likely neither will fill, but ya never know, I cant say which will be better. They should both be good.

There has always been a waiting list for the ams. Best to sign early or better yet sign with a pro. There are also Anglers Choice Pro Ams and Won Bass Pro Ams. I have not looked recently but I believe they are all in the spring, dont quote me though.

Grass Valley has a few nice motels. Just come up the 80 and head across the 49. less then 30 minutes to Bullards. And, there's always a Houseboat rental. I believe the ISE show will be in action during this time. So if you wanna come up a day early, or stay for Sunday the show is in Sacramento, part of the reason I choose this weekend for the event. Thanks everyone. Im home for a few then its back to the hospital. The Dr assured us nothing would happen for a few hours. We will grap a couple hours sleep then back to my daughter. Its actually alot of fun.

There was tons of bait, it was just down a bit deeper. Now its all over the place. I doubt you will get much info as there are many tournaments this time of year. Keep in mind Pedro is just another Nor Cal lake, fish it like you would fish any of the others. It is a great swimbait lake.

Topnut was 7+ Bignut was 3-13 Sorry I don't recall the nut's names, someone else can chime in with that. We fished one session from 7:30 - 1PM with each angler allowed to weigh-in 3 fish. I got top nut. I think it was Obi who got Big Nut. Odd nut Im not sure was awarded, if so it went to the catche...

I used to fish a 844GLX, its a great rod. But 2 years ago I switched to a Powell 734 as I like it much better. The additional length is ideal for me a jig fishing.

Maybe you need to change the line due to age or perhaps the reel is too small. Im not sure which, but 100% is all I use and I have no problems at all. If your in the south bay I will re-spool new line for ya at no charge.
