Re: Flying with lures, hooks, etc in carry on?
I've flown to Mexico and had no trouble taking my tackle bag with hooks and reels in when I left Fresno. HOWEVER, when I went to check-in in Mexico for the return flight, they FREAKED OUT !! It seems you can't have anything SHARP or any LINE in your carry on !!! SO, all the trips from then on I put ...

If money and space aren't a problem then I'd go to the 520. The added deck space, better ride in rough water are well worth it. You'd do alright in a 519, but you'll do it more comfortably in the 520. I've had a 519, 520, and now a 205. Wish I still had my 520 !!

This is a DAMN shame !!! We can't change the weather and produce more rain, but we, meaning our fearless leaders, sure could have implemented more secondary Dams be built to hold additional water !!! Now just might be the best time to start building them since we wouldn't have to drain the lakes too...

Re: 2008 Ranger Z520 Transom Issue
I'm guessing the transom has broken away from the bracing. Take it to someone that works on boats that is good on structural bracing. They will probably need to cut part of the cap off to repair this. I had a new transom and bracing done on a Ranger 372 by Fiberglass Unlimited years ago, but they ar...

Its been about 3 years since I last used the Expeditor service for Loomis. I did it on line, and received a call the next day and was told that they no longer made an IMX 843s and asked if an IMX Pro 843s would be ok. I asked if there was any additional charge to make up the difference, and was told...

Any of your favorite rod company's Med/Heavy, Fast tip 7'-7'4 Rod will do the job without wearing you out. I like a Loomis IMX 843 for open water and an IMX 844 for Frogs. Same thing in Spinning for poppers.

Launch out of Red Bud and fish the whole Red Bud arm. Much deeper. Wacky Rig Senkos or Niko rig and work the "Scattered" tules and outside docks. The Bass up there like the darker colors. Junebug, Watermelon/red, Greenpumpkin etc.

Re: Trolling motor power
If it's the Pin, the the prop shaft will turn when you try to take off the nut. You'll need to use a flat screw driver and a 9/16ths deep socket and some vice grips to get it off. Put the screw driver thru the socket and then put the socket onto the nut, clamp the socket with the vice grips and then...

Re: 24 volt to 36 volt
90% sure your wiring is sufficient for 36v, but you'll need to add 1 more battery, Jumper wire, and either a 4 bank charger or an additional 1 bank charger. You'll also need to upgrade to a 60amp breaker.
