I run cheap oil, and rearely use quickleen, "maybe" about 25% of the time. Mine looks nothing like that. Looks like it wasnt just a matter of "oil used" to me. My 02.

I was handling these rods yesterday at basspro. I was really impressed for the price point. They really are better than the shimanos at that price. Beautiful rod! But they are a 5 year warrranty rod and you have to send it with $20 when you ship it to St Croix.

Your fine dude. I had 98 taco. standard cab 4x4 2.7 and pulled an 18' ranger. I was the slowest guy on the rode but it did fine. I had to use 4x4 low at steep ramps though. LIke the other guy said, I miss that truck!

I shipped from cali to florida through UPS ground. Cost me about $100 if i remember correctly. That included them packaging it because i couldnt find a box to fit it in. If you need a box, use those boxes that have two chairs in them unassembled from furniture stores. I think UPS charged me like $35...

Second time using it today. Left hand model. When i was casting it today, it was making a whining noise for about the last 1/3 of travel before the lure hit the water. "Seemed" to cast fine. A couple of times i tried shaking it and tapping it with my left hand while the lure was in the air...

That quantum reel is sooo sweet. If only i hadnt bought two shimano's with the rebates. I would of rather bought that bad boy on top. Oh well, the shimanos are still great reels....
