Re: Vintage fish measuring board
Years ago I had what I think was called a Wil-e-go fish measuring board. It was plastic and concaved to accommodate the curve of the fish. I’m pretty sure these are no longer made. Does anyone remember these and know where I might be able to purchase one? I lost the only one I had years ago. Thanks...

Evinrude Repair
Since I’ve relied on Boatmasters for over 30 years for engine repairs, I’m out of touch with other options in the area. Should I be unlucky enough to need internal engine repairs on my 2000 175hp direct injected Evinrude Ficht outboard, are there any qualified repair shops in the Stockton/Tracy/Oakl...

Good idea I’ll give them a call. Technically by law the throwable flotation is supposed to be on the deck at all times. I don’t know anyone that has throwable flotation on their deck while fishing. I looked it up and here’s the law: vessels 16 feet in length or longer must have one USCG–approved throwable Type IV device on board an...

Who is ever going to ask you for that card. I was once boarded about 20 years ago for a half hour they checked everything. They even checked to make sure the life jackets were appropriate for the large couple fellows in the boat. Back in those days I kept a few fish to eat, so they measured the fis...

At $20 an hour I’m not sure it’s worth risking one’s life attempting to stop lowlife’s from stealing. Just a couple years ago a man working at Home Depot in Pleasanton lost his life trying to stop a theft.
