I just got the new Shimano Citica (119.00) which is basicly the replacement for the old Curado. It is a sweet, SWEET reel, and if it is like all the other Shimanos I have ownd it will ast forever.

Camped there this summer and I did ok in the two and a half hour I fished. Caught 6 smallies and a largmouth, nothing big but they are in there. The fishsniffer did an article on it a couple of years back which talked about the unmolested bass fishery there.

I just wrote a review of both Castaic swimbaits and the Hudd on clafishing.com, but the short answer is that the Hudd is more realistic in its paint job, profile and action. Other baits work, and work well, but I have not seen a more NATURAL looking bait than the Hudd.
