LADSON, S.C. – When it comes to striper fishing, Shimano’s surf expert Roy Leyva and key Pro-staffer Captain Jack Sprengel have a wealth of knowledge between them, and a slew of 50-pound-plus fish caught to their credit. As part of ‘StriperFest’ activities this week, they both will join the crew from On The Water for virtual seminars with Sprengel focusing on ‘back water to big water’ strategies and tackle selection Wednesday at 6 pm EST (7 pm CST) at , while Leyva tackles surf techniques Thursday night also at 6 pm EST on a Facebook LIVE event viewed at https://www.facebook.com/TheStriperCup.

“While our current situation with COVID-19 keeps us and the On The Water crew from doing their annual in-person StriperFest event, this is our best option to still assist others in becoming better striped bass anglers,” said Leyva. “And the one positive is we’ll be able to reach many more anglers in this virtual setting – even more so than the large crowds that show up at the StriperFest activities the last Saturday of September each year at Falmouth Harbor on Cape Cod.”
