If you were going out fun fishing to take a new angler where would you go and why?

I know the lake is a long way to travel, but Shasta Lake is on fire. You can catch 30 to 40 fish per day. Lots of small fish but your not board. Oroville would be my next thought, but I have not been there so I do not know how the bite is.

Pedro easiest lake to catch fish there is. Take a 6" green wenie, 6"pro gold red flake, 6" purple death and 6"cotton candy lizard.
This time of year you will catch fish.
