Lake Mead is the fairest tournament location in the west. Anyone can win there and it can be won on any bait. You can Punch all day, jig fish, top water fish, spinner baits are awesome, worm fish, tubes, swim baits, and more. I look forward to the US Open every year as does a bunch of us from Nor Cal.

Also, we dropped an AZ Pro-Am event to combine AZ and CA circuits next year. 6 stops was too many plus a championship, so we dropped it to 5. AZ numbers were lower so we dropped an event there. So it makes it "more fair" putting Lake Mead as Championship location as it is closer to them than us Nor Cal guys.

Guys I know most everyone in this sport is for himself. I've heard it plenty. We've invested damn near $500,000 in trailers, travel, television, and paying entry fees for sponsor boats and still paying $5000 to $7000 per event OVER 100%. The fishermen have the cheap investment here by showing up at 3-5 events a year to "help" build WWBT. Plus they get paid well at the events to do so. Support WWBT and let us get it rolling strong and we'll continue to build it. We have long range plans but we must be confident the anglers will support before we open up the dance.

Hell the worst you can do is fish for more than 100% of your money plus prize boats at Championships.

Guys, remember the West hasn't had much over the last 10+ years.
This is a great circuit and the WWBT Team is trying to build a GREAT circuit for us now and the future. Having one year under their belt, they are making changing they have to make to run a business. Never forget it's a business.
They will never make everyone happy. That's impossible! Hell, I wanted several things that I probably didn't get. I filled out the survey and gave my suggestions. They pick what is good for the circuit and the majority. That's the way it's supposed to work.
Let's support them so they will keep working, improving the circuit so we can keep fishing and suggesting things for the future.
BOAT COUNT IS WHAT MAKES THINGS HAPPEN!
Thank you WWBT for listening and giving us a great venue!

Thank you WWBT, I think the 2017 schedule looks awesome!!! Winter Spotties!! Spawning smallies!! Pigs in April and frog fishing in June!!! These are like small vacations with the possibility of winning some money also.

I live in Southern CA and am looking forward to traveling to each of these 6 events, (Championship included). It will be great to fish some large bodies of water instead of our dry ponds down here.

I enjoyed myself very much this year in the AZ region of the WWBT and have 3 buddies anxious to join me in 2017. If anyone is on the fence about competing in any of these events or you just have some questions/concerns about the tourneys, please feel free to contact me and I will happily share my experiences from this past season. I will probably be hitting some of you up for advice on travel and lodging up north.

Thanks again Wild West Bass Trail,

Just to let people know who are planning 2017.

You do not have to fish all 5 events to receive an invitation to the Championship.

I heard that your best 3 events will count and they may cut the invites off at 75 or 100. You can fish as many as you want, but your best 3 count. Again this is not confirmed, I just don't want to lose anglers because the qualifying structure is not announce yet.

Rumors have it that WWBT is going to make some game changing announcements in the coming months. Let all try to be as positive as possible as they try to make adjustment to their business to offer us the best product they can deliver.

Hell yea! My second year on tour looks like it's going to be a great one with the WWBT. Some more new waters to explore while chasing Mr. Bigfin. Can't wait.

Glad to see that Lake Mohave made the cut. That lake has some amazing fishing in it. Guys better start doing their research now.

WWBT pays back 100%. Every other trail that i'm aware of pays back 80% max. Plus there's contingency money and if you do well enough or if you're an AM and you're in the right boat you will get TV time. The show is well done which surprised me. I thought it would be one camera dude bouncing around the lake with a 1980's Sony vhs camcorder but it's more like FLW.
Qualifying AM's get to fish out of their own boat or one provided to them on the last day. Too cool.

Pick one of the tournaments and give it a shot.
