Delta 11/6/16

Post by ElGuapo »

Another beautiful day on the Delta. Launched at 7:30 and the sun had already been up for an hour. Daylight savings screwed me up. Water was 63-65 degrees. Caught a nice 5 and a half pounder (really 5-9 but I'll add the extra ounce to future catch to be named) early on but nothing but babies thereafter. Thought the cloud cover would help with the reaction bite but it was kinda tough the rest of the day. Best 5 would have only been around 11#s.

How did everyone else do?

Good stuff as always thanks!

Btw are you power-poled down because i didn't see the boat move an inch the entire time?

Thanks Mark!

Wow Trix, very observant. Yes, both poles down, sitting just out of the current. It's completely changed how I fish. No more wrestling with the t-motor while trying to fish breaks.

I made the mistake of trying to take off later that day with the poles down and I think I cracked the plastic casing around the fiberglass poles. If anyone knows a quick way to get this fixed please let me know.
