Day four of search for two of three missing fishermen

HENRY COUNTY, Ala. - Sunday is day four of the search for two of three missing fishermen who have not been seen since Wednesday.

The three men put their boat in at Thomas Mill Creek off Lake Eufaula Wednesday night around 9 p.m.

On Thursday, the families of the three men began to worry that the men had still not returned home and notified the Henry County Sheriff's office.

The truck and trailer the men used to put the boat in the water was found in the parking lot of Baker's Landing off of Thomas Mill Creek.

Thursday night a search began around 6 p.m. and multiple emergency agencies from Georgia and Alabama were involved.

"We began the search Thursday evening and we searched until 11 p.m. until it got so foggy we had to call it off," Henry County Sheriff William Maddox said. " We started back Friday morning at 7:30, right off the bat at about 8:30 we recovered one of the fishermen from the lake."

The fisherman found was 52-year-old Timothy Arnold Evans of Henry County.

A prosthetic leg was also recovered that belong to one of the fishermen, along with a jacket and fishing supplies.
