For you old guys...

Post by Pat »

Found out today that New Melones has an annual pass for seniors for just $35! Get it at the Bureau of Reclamation office just south of the Highway 49 bridge!

Minimum age for seniors is 62. You get the national parks senior pass then get the discount to $35 for annual Melones pass. With the lifetime senior pass you get into all federal parks/lands free. It’s been a few years but I think the initial senior pass was $10.

Bite is solid there if you can fish slow enough for the big Florida strain LMB!

By the way, the bite is hot! Lot's of numbers with the occasional good 'un tossed in. For a while today if I went 4 or 5 five casts without a bite I was disappointed! And it was my first time on the lake.
