Report:
Despite the blazing triple digit heat & quick drop in water level, it didn’t stop 32 of the bravest kayak anglers from showing up to compete last Sunday (6/24/2018) in the Central Valley Kayak Fishing Tournament on Hensley Lake. The early blast off at 5:00 AM helped a few anglers score an early 4-fish limit before the day warmed up. Luckily, a nice breeze picked up mid-morning from the east opening up another great window of opportunity for those still trying fill their limit. The majority of the fish came from island tops to shaded cover throughout the lake.
