"Triple-digit heat and overcast of smoke from the brewing Mariposa fire, a day on the lake wouldn’t seem reasonable, unless your fishing in C.V.K.F tournament. With 33 anglers on aboard, 5 am blast off, the race to see who can bag an early big limit before getting beat down by the heat was the goal. Wide open bite with water temp in high 70’s and a post spawn for bluegills the lake was abundant with frys’ and black bass that can be found throughout a different depth of the lake. A lot of quality fish was landed on Sunday with countless stories of breakoff that came at a cost. For those who didn't camp, ya'll missed OUT! Hands down on Lawrence W Simms jalapeño burger, John Parker teppanyaki fried rice, Michael Lavoie blueberry cornbread. The list of food, drinks, and generosity was endless. Ultimately, Freddie Mercado took home the win with a 78" for 4 fish and a big fish of 20.75"."
