Santa Margarita Lake is full

Post by MikeR »

I just spoke to Lynn at the park's offices at Santa Margarita Lake. The website showed 54% and dropping from near 88% before the storm but the sensor is broken so if you look at the website don't panic like I did. The lake is at 100% now and is almost in the parking lot.

As far as Cachuma is concerned; Here is a link to the Cachuma Webcam: https://www.countyofsb.org/pwd/cachumacamera.sbc

The web site shows the lake at 37% on February 1st prior to Saturday's storm if you scroll down past the links to the current webcam images. There is no update on the state's CDEC website or this one as far as current level but It's got to be near 50% or better now.

If you go to "805 Web Cams", you'll be able to see Cachuma, Lopez, Santa Margarita and Nacimiento web cams. It's been interesting watching the lakes come up the last few weeks.

Cachuma is now over 47% with more still coming in. A full 10% gain. The CDEC website isn't up to date but the 805 webcams website shared in someone else in another post had this information:
