Hey WB,
I was doing some maintenance to my boat and opened up the oil take to add some oil. I just so happened to have an open water bottle on the deck which i had drank down to a couple oz's. Well, like something out of a movie, I knocked the water bottle over and it splashed right into the opening of the oil tank. I estimate maybe an ounce of water at most got into the oil tank.
Is this something I need to address? Pump and dump? Or would the water just burn off?
Any advice is appreciated.

Water in Oil Tank
Re: Water in Oil Tank
Dev water is heavier then oil so you should be able to pump into a clear mason jar and see when the color changes

Re: Water in Oil Tank
Agreed! I ended up just pumping all the oil out, cleaning it out and putting fresh oil back in.biteme wrote:Why risk it?
