Bass Boat crash videos that could have ended far differently

Post by hydro »

Two videos that show what can go wrong without warning .
One seemingly pretty innocent travelling at only 61 MPH . Kill switch not used resulting in an ever circling boat .
The second video pushing the envelope at 102 MPH when prop blows out

found some info online about the boat involved in the 100 MPH crash
Boat company is located in Brazil and the Veloster model boat is basically a copy of a Bullet Bass boat
Specs are 20 length ,1200 lbs ,rated at 300 HP by the manufacturer but was rigged with a 400 HP engine in the video. Manufacturer says it can hit 90MPH with a 300 but apparently that's not quite fast enough .

What caused the boat doing 61mph in the first video to react like that? It didn’t look like they hit a big wave or an object.

If you watch the video closely you will see as he is turning the boat is headed into a buoy causing him to turn more aggressively...the rest is just unfortunate.
