The Central Valley Kayak Fishing (CVKF) season opener was held on Lake Kaweah on Sunday, March 1st. 2020 with a record setting number of anglers. Tournament Director Brigham Vang reported that forty-three dedicated kayak anglers showed up with the hopes of capturing the big win at the 2020 opener.

The weather report called for rain but it held off to make for a nice day on the water with highs in the 60s with light winds. Water temperature was in the high 50s with clarity 5 to 10 feet depending on location. Fish were primarily found in 20 to 30 feet of water on rocky points suspended.
