So what is a good insurance company for boat insurance. What type of coverage do you have?

My boat is paid for however I still want to cover my assets, any suggestions?

Call Melissa at Liberty Mutual in Folsom, tell her Craig Gottwals sent you. She's a close friend and takes care of many of my friends and clients.

You might want to check out the Q&A in the last Basswest (Ike Issue). It talks about a lot of details of bassboat insurance that you might want to take into account while you are looking for the right insurance company.

Two of our sponsors on the site have been doing it for years, Al Grout at Sawyer Cook and Stan and Ken Vanderburg at 1800bassboat. I've priced out a lot of insurance over the years and you'll find a lot of policies compared to each other are apples and oranges. Give these guys a call and see how they stack up. You're just not going to find nicer guys out there then these three gentlemen.

Thnx
I need it to.And will call these guys.
Just curious to see if anyone has dealt with Progressive.
You know the expensive commercials the pros indorsements

I talked with the mechanic that replaced my power head and he tells me most the time the adjusters come out to his shop and have no clue what there looking at,
He put in for a lower unit claim-adjuster comes out-he shows her the lower unit and she says well okay i quess so.

the main thing we are insuring is if we hurt someone, the second is that motor.

What is the most important thing we need to look at in the policy about the motor ?

I just added mine to my home owners policy with AAA. I got rear ended and they paid for the new lower unit, trailer repairs etc...Seemed pretty easy to me.
I would rather jog home from my own Vasectomy than spend Saturday at the mall.

What you really have to look at in most boat insurance coverage, is iof they will cover you as a tournament fisherman..Some coverage considers this as commercial use of your boat and may not cover anything that happens during a tournament..Just double check with any coverage you get..
