Russos
Re: Russos
Good question !! I would have to guess it would be due to the proximity and availability of lodging. I haven't been out of the Break in years, and back then a lot of the tourneys went out of there for that reason. I would "hope" that it has been cleaned up and FIXED up to handle them now. JMHO

Re: Russos
Russos has been ultra-conservative following State & County COVID guidelines.
They are the first to "shut-down" and the last to re-open.
As a result, most "big events", especially from March to June were cancelled.
Other area marinas remained open, when Russos shut down.
Other venues such as Big Break & Holland provided more certainty in hosting previously scheduled tournaments.
My opinion ......

Re: Russos
Yes. It’s been cleaned up and new owner seems very nice. When I was there this summer, he was hoping for more tournaments. He got what he wanted.
Re: Russos
City of Oakley pays for tourneys to go out of big break($15,000 forFLW).
If that tournament goes out of Russo’s Chuck gets stuck with that fee and it comes out of his pocket -not cities.
