Hey yall,
So we put together a tutorial video around how we catch stocked trout in lakes/ponds. As many of you know stocked trout, especially freshly stocked trout, act differently than wild/native trout. So this video talks about some of those tactics. Would love any of your guys feedback and own tactics as well!

My technique is to use reaction baits when they are first introduced into the wherever and when they have been in a week or so you'll notice the bait fishermen all go off at a certain time. The stocker trout swim around in a big circle and mow through ( feeding time at the hatchery ) everything leaving the holdover trout holding the bag until the stockers get thinned out. The holdovers if any are on baitfish and in a water temp and depth that is right for them whatever time of year they got stocked. I think of trout as baitfish until they are over 4 pounds unless they are the top tier of that system. If they share the water with largemouth it well It's not to complicated
