Youth Angler League - AOY race breakdown
In the Central region's "Youth" division (ages 5-11), young Jaxen Huckaby is sporting only a 2-lb lead over rivals Ian Ludwig and Jake "The Snake" Oliver.
In the Central region's "Youth "division (ages 12-18), Roberto Hernandez Jr. has a lead of less than half a pound over staunch rival and 2019 YAL AOY champion Michaela Schmigdall.
In the Northern region's "Kids" division, Aiden Marion leads the pack by just 2-lbs over rivals Riley Hawkins, Cameron Dassonville, and reigning YAL Classic champion James "Fresh Fade" Dammann.
In the Northern region's "Youth" division, Cayden Cross leads his race by just over a pound, but knows he has to bring his "A" game to this event if he hopes to keep 2-time FPT Classic top-ten finalist Timothy Albrecht off his tail.
As the YAL Angler of the Year title is solely based on total weight over 5 events - and not points, this delta event with it's "big bag" potential, could easily put any of the current leaders or contenders in an "untouchable" position going into the final event of the season.
Stay tuned...the race is on!
