Post by Gator »

Hopefully, all will go well. Will be dad's first time on the water since the stroke. Got him Mustang Auto-Inflatable, have the boat all cleaned up and ready to go. I will let you all know how it goes and hopefully have some pics to share. I am so stoked!! Dad is on his way to recovery!!

Nice, good for you both,

My dad and his long time buddy are coming out in August for a first time visit to see me since I moved out here. I’m very excited to get out there with the old man and showing them both how we do it on the West side. When I went back there a couple of summers ago I spanked them both on Lake Erie, I got the “thanks for teaching use how to fishâ€

Fishing Report - Awesome!!

Post by Gator »

Well, awesome day on the water with Dad. I caught one on the first cast and figured it would be a great day. I caught two more, then Dad hooked into one and says "I've got a good one". After about a 5 minute fight, I scooped up this beautiful Florida Largemouth. 9.02 lbs.

We ended up with about 12 fish for the day (about 2 hours of fishing). We didn't have a scale so we had to go to the local tackle store to get her weighed. Took her back to Kingsley and watched her swim back to be caught another day.

That's AWESOME Gator!!!!

It wasn't but three or four years ago that I couldn't stand fishing with my pops. I ALWAYS had to do all the work and it effected "my" time on the water. Not only that, I had to pay for everything!

No sooner did it hit me that pops became one of my most enjoyable fishing partners. Not because he is the best fisherman, but because of the time spend bonding with him. Being the youngest of four boys, fishing with pops gives me a bond that none of the other three have. I take advantage of it every chance I get.

Between fishing with pops or young kids...it doesn't get any better.

Good job Gator. I'm proud of ya!!! Oh yeah, and your pops 9lber is NICE!!!!!!!
