The debate over Forward-Facing Sonar (FFS) is heating up. First, NPFL set the trend, followed by B.A.S.S., and now MLF has implemented their own restrictions. At BAM, we’ve had our discussions about bans, limits, and restrictions, but we’re taking a different approach.
Mark Lassagne BAM, as the owner of BAM, is making decisions that are best for our business—and our business is fishing. Our sponsors and anglers, both pros and co-anglers, are our customers. Over the next year, we will work with them to evaluate if there’s a need for FFS limitations here on the West Coast and what the best approach might be.
We won’t jump on the bandwagon just because other circuits are doing so. We are committed to making thoughtful decisions that balance innovation and fair competition in our sport. Stay tuned as we continue to assess this critical issue!
