CA Kayak Series w/o FFS?

Hey all. I want to see if anybody has heard if any of the CA kayak tourney organizers have talked about limiting this tech from their events. If any format makes sense to limit the tech, I would think the kayak setting makes the most sense.

Not trying to start more controversy -- just genuinely curious. Especially because I've got a keen interest in getting into some of the kayak series throughout the state. I'm just feeling super discouraged because it seems more and more that the kayak event winners are all using it in a substantial way, and I have no personal interest in using it at all.

So please inform even if it's just hearsay, rumors, whatever. I'm just desperate for some encouragement that says it's worth continuing to pursue the joys of competitive fishing without needing this tech.

Most tournament fisherman can't rely on skill and time on the water to perfect their fishing skills. They have a really on a crutch to help them because they say they cant compete in the real world of tournament bass fishing with out it. Skill and time on the water is the bottom line. Time have changed for sure. For me ill use and rely on my knowledge and skill and hours on the water to catch fish no matter what lake. I can catch fish and it doesn't matter what season it is or what lake. I dont mean to vent I just
Dont need to change what I already know and how to get it done.

Agree with you 100% Jiggin. Randy Blaukat has been preaching this for a long time on his YouTube channel and he gets tons of support but he also gets hammered by others for taking that position about FFS.
