We are planning to blast off at 7:15 AM. Today brings prevailing winds, and while they’ll make conditions challenging, this is the hand we’ve been dealt. Please note that areas such as the main lake by the dam, Sacramento Arm, and McCloud Arm will experience significant rollers and the most extreme conditions of the day.Your safety and that of your partner is our top priority—please take all necessary precautions while on the water. The scales will be open throughout the day, with select staff available starting at 12:00 PM. If you run into any issues or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
4:00 pm Saturday Update
The Wind Conditions are expected to improve based on The National Weather Service forecasts. Expect prevailing northeast winds of 5 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph—just about one-third of today’s intensity. You can expect a final update at 5:00AM.Adaptations for anglers: We will open the scales at 12 o’clock, noon. If you wish to vacate the event, please notify Mark or Michael as soon as possible so we can reassign co-anglers. Please do what you can to help us keep the integrity of the pairings.
