Fishin' Dave, I don't doubt for a minute what you stated, but I have a couple curious questions.
How long would the fish stay in that narrow area? And how 'catchable' would they be.
I'm certainly no expert on fish behavior, but I'd like to be. Here's some stuff:
- Ya catch six nice bass and ya take them to Del's and dump them in the water. Now 19 other folks do the same thing. That makes 120, newly caught fish (fish that have spent some time in a live well are probably dazed and confused fish) and now they are in a fairly small area.
My questions:
1. How soon would these 120 dazed and confused fish start actively feeding? We've all caught fish that had a crawdad in their throat and they are still trying to stuff more food in there, but I'm talking about those dazed and confused fish that have been in a live well for a few hours. How soon would they get active?
2. How much bait is around Del's to keep these fish in that small area? At some point ya gotta think that there would be too many bass vying for too small of a pool of bait. And then some of them would need to wander out of that area just to be able to eat.
Like I said, I don't doubt what you said about folks winning tournies in there, so please don't think I'm questioning what you said (I'm having bash-fear

)
What I'm trying to do is get a better knowledge of how these green beast react to a situation like that.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
- Wolfeman
